Well, Willa decided that 5:30 was a good time to get up, again. Two days in a row makes Dad a little tired. Hopefully it was caused by the quake (http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2008688815_webquake30m.html) and will not be repeated tomorrow. Especially since tomorrow is a weekend.
Speaking of tomorrow, Ethan and Willa will be heading down to SODO to become Lil Kickers (http://www.arenasports.net/lil-kickers-class-descriptions). We'll see how that goes. Ethan will be a Hopper and Willa a Bunny.

Early Mornings - Yuck
Willa seems to like waking up at 5:30 in the morning a couple times a week. Sometimes she goes back to sleep once you hand her a binky, but at least once a week she doesn't. today was one of those days. Ugh! I think Karri and I will be in a daze all day. Fortunately we got Willa out of the room without waking Ethan, so he got to sleep until 7.
This used to be a 4 or 5 day a week thing, so I guess I should be happy, but haven't had any coffee yet and still a little dazed.

Birthdays
Birthdays are coming up - OK not really, but when you are a obsessive, a planner, and a little anal, they are. Current plan is that Ethan is going to have a party with his kid friends at Pump It Up (http://www.pumpitupparty.com/) and Willa will be doing a cupcake thing at home. Ethan will also likely do a cupcake thing at home with grandparents and other family members the day before.
On the present front, they are likely to each get the same thing from us - scooters (http://www.kickboardusa.com/mini-kick-scooters), although there is some thought (according to Ethan) that Willa would like a kitchen, so we'll see.
If she does get a toy kitchen, it will be interesting to see if she stops thinking the stove is a jungle gym while I am trying to make dinner.

Kindergarten
Hot topic amongst Daphne's People - and showing just how crazy we are - Karri and I just looked at Coe (http://www.seattleschools.org/schools/coe/) and Hay (http://www.seattleschools.org/schools/johnhay/) to try and figure out which kindergarten (and ultimately elementary school) will be best for the kids. Of course, Ethan will be entering in 2010, so we are a little ahead of ourselves AND we are not even sure we will have a choice in 2010.
Hello
This is the first post on the Daphne's People blog. Daphne's people are: Michael, Karri, Ethan, & Willa.
Seemed like the way to go - in 2009, Karri and Michael begin to adopt 2005 technology.
Primary goal is to keep friends and relatives updated and so that Ethan and Willa can someday look back and say, "our parents might be lame, but they tried."
