January 3, 2011 - Oh My God, Dad is 40!

Karri turned 40 last month and we both started to feel old.  It has been a fun 28 days since then, highlighted by a Chanukah brunch at our house with the Johnsons and Nana and Zayde, cookie decorating at Aunt Wendy's, Xmas eve at Grandpa Bob's, and Xmas day at Grandma Linda's.

Some fun things:

• Going to see Tangled.  Two thumbs up.
• Getting and building lots of Legos.
• Getting fairies (Tink and her friends) and jewelry boxes.
• Seeing Santa
• Making and eating Xmas cookies.
• Finished Harry Potter book 5.

Today Ethan and I hung out for my birthday:

• Finished reading Roald Dahl's George's Marvelous Medicine
• Started with a couple chapters of Harry Potter book 6
• Went to the bank and the grocery store (for 7 Flavor Beef recipe)
• Picked up Percy Jackson movie
• Came home and made Ethan's favorite grilled ham and cheese (good jews that we are (although I had Pastrami)).
• Watched some of the movie
• Played some SET for the first time - good game.
• Ethan played on the Lego Hero Factory website while I prepped dinner
• More Potter and more Percy Jackson
• Dinner - a little salty, but good.  Next time I will reduce the salt.
• Read some Matilda, princess stories, and Hanukkah, Schmanukkah
• Good Night - good day.
