At 7:30pm on June 14th we will present a work-in-progress performance of our new play The Pinks at Dixon Place. This will be a sneak preview of the first acts of the show. Crime, caper and endless fake mustaches. It’s 1861 and the Pinkerton Detectives uncover a terrible plot by the infamous spy Rose Greenhow--the Wild Rose of the Confederacy. Kate Warne, the first female detective, and her bumbling partner are on the case with only their wits and a suitcase of crime-fighting tricks. On a 4'x6' stage that frames the action like a comic book, the Gold No Trade company combines the old-style pulp dime novel with historical fiction. Following the performance, we will be holding an audience talk-back to help us move forward in the creative process. As a participant in this early phase of the creative process, you will become a unique Gold No Trade supporter. And to thank you, everyone who attends this showing receives two tickets for the price of one for the full production. Reserve your tickets now and join us on this new madcap dime novel adventure.
