Disneyland

Posted some pictures directly from the Magic Kingdom, but no summary of the trip had been posted.

IT WAS AWESOME!

We all had fun and had fund spending time together as a family.  Highlights:
  • Swimming in the pool
  • Character breakfasts - Willa at Ariel's Grotto, Ethan at Goofy's Kitchen (Belle would not let me put my arm around her for a picture)
  • Lots of autographs - my favorite was getting Cruella De Ville's with Willa - very funny
  • Ethan loved The Buzz Lightyear blaster ride (I think he rode it about 8 times in 3 days)
  • Willa loved Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
  • Toon Town is terrible - garish, long lines, and boring rides
  • Willa was a super trooper almost every day with next to no fits
  • Ethan had extra fun on his birthday at the Lego store and playing video games at ESPN Zone.
  • Lots of shoulder rides for Willa, some for Ethan.  Made travel through the park faster and kept us together.
  • Sugar cereal boxes that Karri wisely brought with us - Froot Loops are a fan favorite (with Orange, Lemon, Cherry, and other natural flavors (follow my nose)).
  • Willa came home with a Minnie Mouse, dress, pin, and doll.
  • Ethan came home with a Buzz Lightyear gun and a Pirates of the Caribbean t-shirt.
  • Karri got rather wet and stayed wet most of the day following riding with Ethan on Grizzly Rapids at DCA.  The one ride I wanted to try but didn't get to because Ethan said he didn't want to go again.
  • Operation Build-A-Bear worked like a charm and made for a fun surprise at Easter.
  • The Aladdin live show was very cool and enjoyed by all
  • Never made it on Space Mountain, but Ethan probably would not have liked it, although he did like the Captain EO 25th (or was it 30th) anniversary show
  • The headboard in the room lit up and played magic kingdom music.
Am sure Karri has some thoughts, but overall it went well and I think we all had fun.  Probably go back in 3-4 years with grandparents.
We all got a little tired of eating out and I did miss a Seder for the first time that I can remember.
We got tickets for World of Color (the show at DCA), but on no night were the kids able to stay awake past 8:30 and the shows all started at 9, so that didn't happen.  I think they would have liked the shows, but it would have been too difficult to keep them up, so we opted not to.
